Here are a list of FAQ's regarding me, my website and needle felting. Hopefully any burning questions you may have will be answered here. If you are still unable to find the answer to your question(s), please don't be afraid to contact me. I'll do my very best to answer them and i'll add them here for reference for future visitors. Questions are sorted into three different categories for your convenience.

Do you have an eBay ID/Etsy store?
Yes I have both. My eBay ID is "aussiefelts" and my Etsy store can be found HERE. Currently my Etsy shop is empty. I tend towards selling items on Ebay at the moment.

About Needle Felting

I'm an Australian, who do you recommend I get my needle felting supplies from?
From me! The supplies I sell are the ones I use myself when I make my bears and critters. I won't use fibre or needles that i'm not happy with and I won't sell anything i'm not happy with either.

Do you use patterns when you create your sculptures?
No. Not one single creation i've made was from a pattern. On occasion i'll use a photograph of an animal as a reference for a pose but everything else comes from my own imagination.

What fibre do you use in your sculptures? I almost exclusively use corriedale wool in all of my creations. I find it felts beautifully and it doesn't leave too much of a fuzzy surface on my critters.

All of your creations are different but they seem to have a similar look about them. How do you do that?
Most of it is just my own technique but the one thing you'll notice with my creations is that every single one of them (from late 2008 onward) have eyelashes. It's become something of my trademark now and I don't feel my bears and critters are complete without them.

I really like one of your pieces. Do you mind if I copy it?
Straight answer...yes I do mind. Please don't make copies of my items. If you really like a piece, contact me and perhaps I can create a similar one for you.

Do you do commission pieces?
If you've seen something in my gallery that you like and you would like a similar piece made, then yes...i'll do a commission piece for you. I'll quite happily recreate a similar work for you if i've made one already. I'm not the person to come to if you are looking to have the vision of your family pet come to fruition. The bottom line is, contact me if you are interested in me making something for you. I'm quite friendly...I won't bite your head off I promise! ;)
